Beitz has been working with cast body parts and common objects combined with small kinetic components. These works reconstruct objects and forms which playfully comment on and question everyday experiences, such as smiling and walking, as well as larger philosophical mediations on the passage of time.
Beitz received is BFA from Alfred University, after completing the two-year program at the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute School of Art. He has exhibited his work in New York state, most recently at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, and the Schwienfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn.
