Chos’s garden-like installations bring the viewer into a mythic space, balancing solid objects and ephemeral elements, such as cast bronze flowers and metal vessel with water and light. They require the participation of its viewers, who are asked to perform labor-like tasks such as pulling, pushing, carrying or sitting.
Cho received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Metalsmithing. She also holds MFA and BFA degrees in Metals from Seoul National University.
