Mayhorn received her BA from Howard University, Washington, DC and was at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Independent Study Program in 1999-2000. She was an Artist-in-Resident at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in 2000.She has shown at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Wilmington, DE, Beach Institute Cultural Center, Savannah, GA and HEREArt Gallery, NY.
