About the Artist

Michael Berens’ work fosters participation and interaction by inventing social and mechanical systems to produce art with his audience. Recently he was awarded an Emerging Artist Fellowship at Socrates Sculpture Park. He was a founding member of the Emergency Arts Collective in New York City and his work appeared at the NY Armory Show, Pierogi, Brooklyn, NY and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco, CA. Berens lives and works in New York City.
