A sense of place is an important interest for Mori. Using projected video, sound and interaction with object— a chair, birdcage, or shadow—the viewer may contemplate one’s communication with the environment. At Sculpture Space, Mori will investigate elements such as air, temperature, humidity, and energy, as well as the parasitic and symbiotic relationships of humanity and its sense of natural place.
Mori received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, a BA from Tama Art University, Japan, and also attended Maryland Institute, College of Art. His work has been shown at Artpack Services Inc. & AIR in Farmington Hills, MI and Gallery 901 in Washington, DC.
