Scofield’s funny and perverse sculptures focus on the nature of equipment, tools and the body. One body of work, "Tim Scofiled’s Flying Circus" is comprised of ride-like machines that the artist (and sometimes the audience performs in). Based on personal experiences and childhood recollection, Scofield uses found objects, fabricated forms, and a diverse range of materials to create scenes from the surreal.
Scofield received his MFA from Syracuse University and has exhibited at HallWalls Contemporary Art Center in Buffalo, NY and the Navy Pier in Chicago.
