 Rachel Frank

Brooklyn, NY
Residency: April-May 2007

Rachel Frank's recent body of work deals with both personal and public narratives using large-scale animals to explore such themes as death and violence. At Sculpture Space she produced a pair of wolves within an installation of geometric wood patterning. The animals were hand-stitched out of cloth and painted. Frank received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Following a residency at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture she received studio space grants from the Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation in New York City, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation and from the Artists Alliance. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
