ABOUT CHAIRITY ART AUCTION AND FUNDRAISING GALA 2026

Sculpture Space’s 2026 CHAIRity Art Auction and Fundraising Gala concluded on September 18 with our most successful CHAIRity event to date—a remarkable evening of art, community, and support for Sculpture Space.

The 2026 event combined an online auction, held September 11–18, with a celebratory Wrap Party at Sculpture Space on September 18. More than simply a fundraiser, CHAIRity brought together artists, alumni, collectors, friends, neighbors, sponsors, and supporters for an extraordinary evening in the studio and a powerful reminder of the community that has sustained Sculpture Space for five decades.

Each year, CHAIRity offers a rare opportunity to acquire original artwork and functional objects created by national, international, regional, and local artists. Many of the contributing artists are alumni of Sculpture Space’s internationally recognized artist-in-residence program, joined by artists from our region who generously support our work year after year.

Since 1976, Sculpture Space has provided artists with the time, space, tools, and community to take creative risks and develop ambitious new work. CHAIRity directly supports that mission, helping us welcome the next generation of artists to Utica while keeping our studios active, accessible, and open to possibility.

Thank you to every artist who contributed work, every bidder and guest who participated, every sponsor who invested in our mission, and every volunteer and friend who helped make CHAIRity 2026 an extraordinary success.

As Sculpture Space approaches its 50th anniversary, the success of CHAIRity 2026 gives us tremendous momentum for what comes next. The next fifty years begin here.
