Andrew Redington

Andrew Redington is an artist who works and lives in Berlin, Wisconsin who has his MFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Andrew has held many exhibitions be it juried or invitational. He has taught Art Metals and Functional Design from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh while being a Director of Allen Priebe Gallery. Over the years he has been given grants, featured in publications and participated in multiple residencies.

 

Andrew’s artistic practice spans the spectrum of scale from bodily adornment to utilitarian design and monumental public sculpture. He is interested in the idea of creating forms that build on the relationship we have with objects and the potential psychological impact they may have, tending to gravitate toward objects that evoke remembrance and have emotional adherence.
