  Dana Harper

Columbus, OH

March – April 2018

Dana Harper is an artist who works and lives in Columbus Ohio. She received her BFA at Ohio State University and received her MA from The Pennsylvania State University. Throughout her schooling she has received awards and the opportunity to participate in residencies.

During her career she has been a part of many exhibitions across the country. Throughout her career she has had some teaching experience at The Pennsylvania State University while participating in some design work.

Dana’s work explores moments of self-transcendence, where time is slowed down and the outside world is forgotten, a place where the imagination is ignited. Her perceptually encompassing environments are an invitation to lose yourself through unknowing, allowing anxiety to be distracted by an eagerness to discover. Using overpowering color, inviting textures and an overall multi-sensory experience, the works act as a portal to warm feelings and childhood fantasy, a social catalyst for interaction and connection.
