David received a BA from Oberlin College in Third World Studies and Studio Art, a BFA from the University of Florida in Sculpture and his MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Sculpture. He has had several awards and residencies and exhibitions throughout the East Coast.Images above represent pieces from David's "Minor Plagues and Lesser Events." He states, "the machines themselves are intricate and mechanically intense, perhaps even cold; their architecture reflective of the formal and analytic bureaucracy of both our systems and ourselves (or more appropriately myself). Their complements, however, are softer, lighter characters; delicate birds and tiny snow covered towns…"
