Lucia Warck-Meister

At Sculpture Space Lucia Warck-Meister (Argentinian) worked with Tears of Memory, her multimedia installation about memory and identity. Her interests were in discovering the difficulties of working in large scale and what improvements could be made in the videos and the lighting of the piece, which is made in transparent material. Warck-Meister graduated from Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires. She has held individual exhibitions at Fondo Nacional de las Artes and Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, and at Annina Nosei Gallery and Haim Chanin Fine Arts, both in New York City, PanAmerican Projects in Miami, Fl and Galleria Sara Zanin, Rome, Italy. She has shown collectively at The Work Space and El Museo del Barrio in New York City and the Museum of the Americas, Washington, DC. She placed first at the Palm Beach (FL) International Sculpture Biennale and was a finalist for MTA Arts for Transit in New York City. She is to be a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome where she will work on her project about Bomarzo. She currently lives and works in New York City.
