Rachel Hayes
Richmond, VA
Residency: March-April 2008
Project Description
While at Sculpture Space, I completed about 20 new pieces and have endless ideas to take home with me. I had time to experiment with new materials, as well as prepare for upcoming exhibitions. I learned how to weld and rediscovered materials and processes that I had long forgotten. The body of work that has evolved while working here has sent me down a new path that I would have never anticipated before this residency.
